How’d it go?

What did y’all do this weekend?

I had a great one.

Friday: I cruised around town with friends Anita and Megan. Megan and I did some shopping and then Anita met us for lunch and a pedicure search. After 3 unsuccessful attempts, we were successful at Oscar nails in Eagan. I sang the baloney song all the way there (my nail place has a first name, it’s O-S-C…) we chilled and got matching toes.

After dolling up the toes, I headed home, got Nick and headed to my mom’s house for a good ole’ barbecue and some cutthroat croquet. My family is fanatical about their croquet. It’s weird. At one point my cousin Michael sent cousin Becky’s ball across the street into the neighbors yard past the boat and behind a tree. Boundaries? We don’t need no boundaries.croquet My parents live on a pond and every year the neighbors put on a pretty good show and we watched that for a bit, then discovered that if we walked over to a field across the street we could see the awesome Apple Valley fireworks. (and Burnsville, Eagan, Lakeville and Rosemount)

Saturday Jennifer and Sammi were still here so we headed out to the pool for a bit (picture below) and then came up, ate lunch, and watched Enchanted. Being out in all that sun takes a lot out of a person. Around 5, we left and headed to our friend Joe’s parents house for Joe’s birthday party. We hung out all night (Nick and some of the guys inside watching the Twins game with Joe’s mom.)

Today, we didn’t do a whole lot, we picked up my step-dad’s bike for Nick to borrow so we can feel out the possibility of doing some biking. I processed a good chunk of the hundreds of wedding pictures we have to go through, and we made BBQ chicken calzones for dinner. Now we’re watching family guy and I’m thinking of heading to bed to read.

How was everyone else’s weekend?
