This one counts?
July 14, 2008
For the most part, I have absolutely no interest in the MLB all-star game, and the idea that it counts when idiots (read: fans) vote in the starting lineup (kudos to the fans for getting Mauer in over Varitek though).
A couple things I like though:
1. Justin Morneau is currently competing in the homerun derby and has advanced to the final rounds along with Josh Hamilton.
2. I like watching the players hang out on the field, acting like normal guys at a baseball game along with their kids and having fun.
3. Josh Hamilton is kind of hot.
ETA: Justin Morneau wins!!
PS: Xfiles - July 25th, I don’t suppose anyone wants to go with me?

I totally swooned when Uggla (I think?) got water from his little toddler who was wearing his jersey…*sigh* Too cute!

i was annoyed how the talking heads immediately downplayed morneau’s win. it’s exactly like when he was the MVP. i’d be pissed if i were him, he gets no credit.

It’s been brought to my attention that I can’t actually go on the 25th, but I can probably go on the 27th?

I enjoyed the bits where the guys were on the field acting like fans–with their cameras, with their kids, cheering, etc. A lot of fun. (And Uggla’s toddler bringing him water was adorable!)
